Car-O-Liner Courses
Trainings Include:
- Basic Car-O-Liner Bench operation including loading & unloading
- Draw Aligner operation
- Guided practice using the Vision Measuring System for upper and lower body measuring
- Vehicle pinch weld clamp training
- Building full frame clamps
- Identify and utilize EVO specialty clamping for all makes and models
- Resistance welder and MIG/MAG welder training
Class schedule and cost varies. Course attendees are expected to arrive 15 minutes prior to scheduled course start. Attendees are responsible for transportation and hotel. Courses include PPE as needed. All courses will be held at KLC Equipment’s Training Center at 4980 Monaco Street, Unit B, Commerce City, CO 80022

This class is for advanced technicians who have been working with Car-O-Liner equipment. This course meets the US I-CAR Structural ProLevel 2 course requirement equivalent for Introduction to Three-Dimensional Measuring – ST055E01.

Objectives
This course is an Advanced course for in-depth theory and understanding of the Car-O-Liner Measuring System and Benchrack. The course includes instruction and hands-on exercises using the computerized system to measure both lower and upper body structures as well as the tips and processes used for diagnosis of structural problems as they relate to collision repairs.
After completion of the training, the technician will be able to properly and safely identify and demonstrate an advanced understanding and usage of the Car-O-Liner Measuring system and components.

Course Content
Safety:
- The safety overview will include information on personal protective equipment (PPE) and an in-depth overview of the measuring slide and cabinet to protect the equipment from damage and debris and how to operate the measuring equipment and components safely
Theory and practice:
This course will give the attendee an understanding of three-dimensional measuring and how it relates to collision repair.
This course will review what types of repairs are most appropriate for the Car-O-Liner equipment.
The course will cover how to properly and safely use the Draw Aligner with the frame alignment system.
The attendee will learn how Car-O-Liner develops its data sheets and the different components of a Car-O-Liner data sheet.
The attendee will learn proper clamping techniques for both unibody and full frame vehicles using Car-O-Liner clamping.
This course will provide an in-depth overview of the different components of the Car-O-Tronic measuring system.
The course will cover proper centering and measuring techniques for both underbody and upper body measuring.
The course will highlight the proper utilization of EVO 1, 2, 3 and the truck kit for anchoring and fixturing for the most accurate, safe and reliable repairs.
Maintenance:
- The maintenance overview will cover all aspects of maintenance, inspection and best practices to ensure the equipment operates successfully

- None required. However, this course is typically taught in conjunction with CLEM-00008: Basic Frame Bench.
Objectives
This class focuses on the use of the Computerized Measuring System to accurately analyze, document and repair structural collision damage. The course includes instruction and hands-on exercises using the computerized system to measure both lower and upper body structures as well as the tips and processes used for diagnosis of structural problems as they relate to collision repairs.
After completion of the training, the technician will be able to properly and safely identify and demonstrate an understanding and usage of the Car-O-Liner Measuring system and components.

Course Content
Safety:
- The safety overview will include information on personal protective equipment (PPE) and an in-depth overview of the measuring slide and cabinet to protect the equipment from damage and debris and how to operate the measuring equipment and components safely.
Measuring System Setup:
This course will give the attendee hands-on interaction with installing, removing, and storing the Measuring Bridge.
The attendee will learn how to select the correct vehicle data sheet, understand the indexes and data sheet layout.
The course will show how to determine proper clamping as well as utilize print, zoom and the photo sheet.
- This course
- will cover in detail how to choose the proper centering points, measuring cups and adapters and an understanding of the QR Function.
- The course will cover performance of a quick check, the comparative measuring operation, absolute/point to point (P2P)/suspension measuring and upper body measuring using the high measuring point (HMP).
- The course will also highlight the EVO information that is available within the software.
Measuring System Maintenance:
- The maintenance overview will cover all aspects of maintenance, inspection and best practices to ensure the equipment operates successfully.
- This will also include proper cleaning of the measuring slide and bridge, LM sensor care and performing a scale test
Entry level technicians that are just starting to work with Car-O-Liner equipment. Typically, this training occurs within 90 days of installation; or for new employees needing training on the Car-O-Liner equipment. This course qualifies as an Annual Training Alliance Course for I-CAR US.

- None required. However, this course is typically taught in conjunction with CLEM-00015: Basic Electronic Measuring.
Objectives
This class is an introduction to the Car-O-Liner frame bench and focuses on how to accurately and safely operate the Frame Bench and its components. The course includes instruction and hands-on exercises using the frame bench as it relates to collision repairs.
Upon completion of the training, the technician will be able to properly and safely operate the Car-O-Liner frame bench and components.

- The attendee will learn how to select the correct vehicle data sheet to determine proper clamping and correct set-up of the frame bench.
- The maintenance overview will cover all aspects of maintenance, inspection and best practices to ensure the equipment operates successfully.

After completion of the training, the technician will be able to properly and safely operate the Car-O-Liner Speed frame bench and components.

Speed Frame Bench Operation:
- This course will give the attendee hands-on interaction to mount and anchor a full frame Vehicle.
- The course will cover the pendant controls and lift functions to properly and safely load and unload vehicles.
- The course will cover proper installation and use of the ramps and hydraulic jack to properly and safely load and unload vehicles.
- The course will cover proper use of the Speed frame bench Draw Aligner, bench arms, side-pull adapter, truck kits and specialty clamps.
- The attendee will learn how to select the correct vehicle data sheet to determine proper clamping and correct set-up of the Speed frame bench.
- The maintenance overview will cover all aspects of maintenance, inspection and best practices to ensure the equipment operates successfully.
This course is designed for the entry to advanced technician using Car-O-liner resistance spot welder. This course meets the US I-CAR Structural ProLevel 2 course requirement equivalent for Introduction to Squeeze-Type Resistance Spot Welding – ST010E01 or Squeeze-Type Resistance Spot Welding Hands-On Skills Development – ST015L01.

Objectives
This class is an introduction to the Car-O-Liner resistance spot welder and focuses on how to accurately and safely operate the resistance spot welder and its components. The course includes instruction and hands-on exercises using the resistance spot welder as it relates to collision repairs.
Upon completion of the training, the technician will be able to properly and safely operate the Car-O-Liner resistance spot welder and component

Course Content
Safety:
- The safety overview will include information on personal protective equipment (PPE) and an in-depth overview of the welder specifications and how to operate the welder and components safely
Welder Setup:
- Welder setup will cover how to connect the main power and compressed air.
- The attendee will learn how to place and remove the C-gun from the holder, check and fill the coolant level and use the tool balancer and support arm.
Operation:
- This course will provide an understanding of how to navigate the control panel, change the C-arms, fender edge arm and A-tong.
- The technician will learn how to start and calibrate the welder and view weld results.
- The hands-on operation of the welder includes cleaning, dressing, changing electrode caps, setting the welder, multi-function gun setup, automatic modes, pre-pulse and air pressure.
Technique & Practical:
- The technician will learn the importance of weld preparation and the importance of following OEM procedures.
- The technician will weld multiple thicknesses relative to today’s collision repairs, like unisides, rails, rockers, etc
- The maintenance overview will cover all aspects of maintenance, inspection and best practices to ensure the equipment operates successfully.
Target group
This course is designed for the entry to advanced technician using the Car-O-liner CR200 Aluminum and Steel Dent Repair Station. This course qualifies as an Annual Training Alliance Course for I-CAR US.

Safety:
- The safety overview will include information on personal protective equipment (PPE) and an in-depth overview of the CR200 specifications and how to operate the CR200 equipment and components safely.
Welder Setup:
- This course will provide the attendee with an overview of the CR200 Dent Repair Station and the multiple pulling options and consumables available for aluminum and steel dent repair.
- This course will cover an in-depth overview to provide understanding for selecting the correct electrode / mandrel and grounding rod for the different consumables that are available as options to the technician.
- This course will also provide hands-on practice for setting up the different pulling bar options that are available.
Operation:
- This course will provide an overview of understanding and using the Control Panel and setting the parameters per the “Operation Controls” Guide.
- This course will cover panel preparation for Aluminum & Steel, using the hand puller, easy puller, lever bar and pulling bars.
- The technician will be provided the CR200 Quick Guide as a resource and an overview of the consumables available.
- The maintenance overview will cover all aspects of maintenance, inspection and best practices to ensure the equipment operates successfully.
This course is designed for the entry to advanced technician using Car-O-liner MIG/MAG welder.

This class is an introduction to the Car-O-Liner MIG/MAG welder and focuses on how to accurately and safely operate the MIG/MAG welder and its components. The course includes instruction and hands-on exercises using the MIG/MAG welder as it relates to collision repairs.
Upon completion of the training, the technician will be able to properly and safely operate the Car-O-Liner MIG/MAG welder and components.

Course Content
Safety:
- The safety overview will include information on personal protective equipment (PPE) and an in-depth overview of the welder specifications and how to operate the welder and components safely.
Welder Setup:
- Welder setup will cover how to connect the main power, shielding gas requirements and use of the flow gauge.
- The attendee will learn how to change the wire feed kit and load welding wire.
Operation:
- The course will cover understanding and navigating the Control Panel, Setting the Primary Parameters and adjusting the Secondary Parameters and Master Reset.
- The course covers customizing the weld with Arc Length and Arc Adjust, Pulse and Double Pulse Functions and using the welders Quick Guide as a resource.
Technique & Practical:
- The technician will learn the importance of weld preparation and the importance of following OEM procedures.
- The technician will weld multiple thicknesses relative to today’s collision repairs with focus on: torch angle, work angle, and travel speed; Special considerations for Aluminum and Silicon Bronze; Torch Adjustment and Remote Control.
- The maintenance overview will cover all aspects of maintenance, inspection and best practices to ensure the equipment operates successfully.
